Rise of the Klan

The resurgence of the KKK in the 1920s is fueled by a toxic mix of anti-Semitism and nativist fears, particularly following the lynching of Leo Frank. A new film romanticizing the original Klan, coupled with savvy PR tactics, transforms the group into a seemingly patriotic force, gaining traction in both political parties. However, their violent methods clash with a growing resistance, exemplified by a spirited confrontation with Notre Dame students, leading to a rapid decline in Klan membership.
