A Monumental Proposal

Auguste is inspired by a friend's suggestion to create a monument celebrating the friendship between France and the United States, coinciding with the centennial of American independence. Despite doubts about his motivations, he embarks on a journey across the U.S., exploring potential locations for his grand vision, including Bedloe's Island in New York Harbor. Along the way, he meets influential figures, including the president, who express support for his ambitious project.
