I'm in a dilemma. I have been on a plant-based diet for almost a year and just started incorporating eggs and cheese. In the first few months of my diet change, I lost about 20 lbs, but then I started gaining weight back, even though I worked out 3-4 days a week. I know for sure I am eating very low protein. I got labs done recently and found out that I am releasing protein in my urine. Also, I have low T; my T dropped considerably over the past couple of years, going from 560 to 235. I started TRT in pellet form back in March 2023, and my T shot up to 1015, but by October 2024, my T levels are around 350. I feel like crap and am lost and hopeless because I want to eat animal-based protein again, but I also have a hereditary issue with my cholesterol. I'm willing to jump back on TRT and eat animal-based protein, but I do not want it to affect my cholesterol levels. They have improved since I went plant-based. What should I do?
