Would it be wrong for me to try to get my calories back to where they were as soon as possible to help me put my size back on with minimal fat gain? I went from eating 2400 calories to maybe about 500 to 700 calories a day. I just want to bounce back to where I was at. I weighed myself this morning on the same Bioimpedance scale I always use, and it says that I’ve lost a lot of weight. Additionally, 6 lbs of the 10-15 lbs lost was muscle. My body fat went from 14.3% to 13.1%, and my muscle mass went from 140.2 lbs to 133.8 lbs.
I'm a 5ft 7in female at 120 pounds consuming 3000 calories as my maintenance. I was consuming 2900 calories at 124 pounds. I've lost 4 pounds by bumping my calories by 100 calories. I now want to go back to 2900 calories and maintain my weight there. Will I lose weight by dropping calories back? What do I do if I don't want to weigh less than 120 pounds? Why is my metabolism so fast that I can't keep up with the amount of food to sustain 120 pounds?
I am currently 5 feet 7 inches tall, 26 years old, weigh about 213 lbs, and have a body fat percentage a little over 20%. Previously, I was intuitively eating, but after tracking for two weeks, my average calorie intake was about 3200 calories. If my goal is to lose fat, should I reverse diet as high as I can first? Also, am I at a good spot for losing fat?
