Why can someone be fat and not lose weight on fewer calories as discussed in the episode Dr. Jason Fung: Fasting Health Benefits & Myths, Reestablishing Ancestral Health Habits + The Best Foods To Eat When Breaking Your Intermittent Fasts and the clip Hormones Over Calories?
I have a question about the episode s4/e08 Demystifying Metabolism for the Endurance Athlete with Dr. Stephanie Compton, PhD, RD and the clip Weight Loss Insights. I'm considering an 800 Cal diet like David Goggins. Currently, I am at 1400 calories, but after losing my first 30lbs, I wasn't seeing any more progress, so I went down to a 1200-calorie diet and maintained it for about 6 months, doing 45 minutes of Burn Boot Camp 5 days per week. However, there was no weight loss on the scale at all—just fluctuations of ±6 lbs from day to day. I've kept the 30lbs off for a little over a year, but I'm not moving and have not been for the past 6 months. I have PCOS, or what health professionals refer to as a form of PCOS, so I have had no luck losing weight. I was hoping to find insight or recommendations to step it up.
