I have a question about this episode Episode 28: Melissa Navarro and this Thyroid Troubles. I am a 64-year-old female with Hashimoto’s/Hypothyroidism. I am tired of feeling fatigued, being in pain all over, experiencing brain fog, and feeling depressed because of my condition. I need guidance on how to change my situation. Levothyroxine does not seem effective. I've tried gluten-free, dairy-free, and sugar-free diets and still feel the same. I cannot lose the extra weight I want to lose. I've seen an endocrinologist who prescribed Phentermine, but only basic labs were performed. Please help me or tell me who can assist me. Thank you. Shelly S.
Can levothyroxine keep you from losing weight?
I am a 52-year-old postmenopausal female taking 125 mcg thyroxine for Hashimoto's and have familial hypercholesterolemia (cholesterol 7.7 but not medicated). My TSH has fluctuated since perimenopause, and I am gaining weight (around 1 kg since then, currently 72.6 kg). What can I do to lose weight and control my TSH?
