Help with thyroid and perimenopause weight gain
I have been on hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for over a year and have seen significant improvements in my menopause symptoms. However, I am still struggling with weight gain and sleep issues. I have been an athlete my entire life, eat well, and know how to train. I've tried changing my training approach and modifying my diet, but I wasn't eating badly to begin with. I am frustrated with being told to weight lift when I've done that most of my life. I think I'm not a typical patient because I have always been into fitness, so I don't receive many solutions from my doctor. I'm stronger than ever but cannot get rid of the belly fat. I was in the best shape of my life before menopause affected me, and I now hate my body. I'd be grateful for any suggestions. Thank you.
