I have a question about the episode Fat Loss Made Simple and the clip Weight Loss Journey. I'm a 53-year-old man who went from 226 pounds in 2019 to losing 100 pounds by 2021. I've worked out the whole time and have landed at a weight of about 135-140 pounds. Aside from maintaining my weight, I want to get stronger without gaining weight. It’s a weird balance. I like to do Spartan sprints once a year and have goals like performing unassisted pull-ups. I had gotten to 3 pull-ups and then lost that ability, so I'm currently using bands again. I would love some tips on finding and keeping a balance.
I have a question about this episode These 2 BICEP EXERCISES Can Give You Massive Biceps | Mind Pump 1981 and this Muscle Gain Strategies. I was a personal trainer and group fitness coach for about six years, maintaining a weight of around 205-210 lbs while averaging 17,000-20,000 steps per day and strength training about 2-3 days a week. Now, I feel like I am struggling to drop below 246 lbs and 30+% body fat, despite my exercise routine. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I suspect that I'm overtrained. I've been doing heavy weights at low reps with long rest times for pretty much the whole year. I've taken a few different weeks off here and there, but I feel tired all the time and have a low libido. I was thinking about taking a four-week break away from weightlifting. For Weeks 1 and 2, I thought about doing a 30-minute walk on the treadmill and a 10-minute stretch or foam roll. Then, in Weeks 3 and 4, I would continue with the walks but start a 3-day band routine. After Week 4, I would slowly go back into my weightlifting routine. Is this a solid plan?
