    • I am a kidney transplant recipient about 10 years post-transplant, taking tacrolimus, prednisone, labetalol, and sodium bicarbonate. I am currently seeing a functional medicine doctor and following a detox regimen for mold and lead toxicity. I just received blood work, and my creatinine was 4.5 with an eGFR of 17. For the past 8 years, my creatinine has remained mostly stable at 3.5 with an eGFR of 21-23. Thankfully, I have time I've earned on the waitlist, and I am not currently on dialysis. However, it does appear that another transplant and/or dialysis might be in the not-so-distant future due to the decrease in kidney function and not always feeling well. Are there any recommendations you would propose to support my current transplant or to prepare for another?
