Understanding Machine Learning

Pedro Domingos explains the difference between traditional programs and machine learning algorithms, highlighting that we don't fully understand what the algorithm is doing. However, he also mentions that researchers have a good understanding of how the learning algorithm works, and that there are different types of machine learning, some of which produce results that are easy to understand.
