Understanding Empathy

Empathy is often oversimplified, but it encompasses two distinct types: psychological and intentional. Psychological empathy occurs naturally, driven by our brain's mirror neurons, allowing us to emotionally connect with others as part of our tribe. In contrast, intentional empathy requires a conscious effort to understand another person's perspective, feelings, and thoughts about a situation.
