Surprising Agreement Rates

Participants initially expected to ask 20 people to get five to agree to fill out a survey, but they only needed to ask about ten. This study revealed that people often underestimate how willing others are to comply with requests. The findings challenge common anxieties around asking for help and extend to various types of requests, including more challenging ones.
