What are the societal challenges in autism research?
I have a 21-year-old severely autistic daughter, and I'd love to get her off some of her medications. I'm worried they are doing more harm than good, and we seem to be adding more each year. I can't get her body and mind regulated. She takes antidepressants, antipsychotics, and something called Abilify. She needs something for sleep, but I won't give it to her, and now they want to add a stimulant. I don't know what to do. This feels wrong. Is there an autism protocol, especially for behavior and mental issues? She is suffering, and so are her dad and I. How can I help her more naturally if she won't exercise?
