The Halloween costumes in this episode of "The Office" were meticulously crafted to reflect each character's personality. Angela Kinsey and Jenna Fischer discuss how the wardrobe team, led by Alicia Raycraft, created unique looks for each character, such as Creed's impressive Joker costume and Kevin's intentionally lackluster version 1. Alicia's attention to detail extended to Andy's cat costume, which was inspired by the musical "Cats" and involved hand-painting a unitard and crafting a fur diaper 2.

She built that whole costume from scratch. She bought a unitard and hand painted it. She used to do textile painting.

Humor

The Halloween theme in "The Office" episode "Employee Transfer" was initially intended to span the entire episode but was ultimately condensed into the cold open. Tug Coker explains how the decision to focus on the cold open allowed for a more impactful storyline, including the memorable three Jokers and Pam's solo costume adventure at corporate 3. The episode also features humorous interactions, such as Andy's antics in his cat costume, which led to laughter and bloopers on set 4.

It was Halloween all day, so it was just going to be you running around the New York office as the only person dressed for Halloween, trying not to look like Hitler.
