Imagine this. I didn't focus a lot on Facebook for years. I had deengraziosi.com, comma, I did a weekly wisdom. Tens of thousands of people a week would watch my weekly wisdom, but would social media? We decided about six months ago, let's put more focus into Facebook because we have so many people wanting to see us there. It's easier. So I started posting messages every day and posting my videos there. And, oh, my God, my fan page grew 10,000 people a week. We're over 100,000 people and growing really fast. Well, about ten days ago, someone hacked into our Facebook account, got our password, changed it, and took ownership of our site.

Despite the chaos, Dean remained committed to his audience, apologizing for the incident and assuring them of improved security measures moving forward 2.
Reputation Management
In the wake of the hacking incident, focused on managing his reputation and maintaining his integrity. He candidly shared the emotional turmoil he experienced, including sleepless nights and anxiety over the potential damage to his public image 2.
My reputation, who I am as a person, the messages I deliver week after week just be pounded and slashed. And all of a sudden, my phone, my email started blowing up. Dean, how could you do that? My own mother. This isn't a joke. My own mother called me and said, dean, what are you posting on Facebook, hon? I'm like, mom, do you really think that was me? She goes, no, I didn't. But I don't understand how that works. The only reason I'm sharing this for a few reasons, I'm sorry that happened. It will never happen again. We learned a valuable lesson and we're safeguarded. Facebook's an incredible thing, but you got to protect yourself. We know that now. And now we're going to grow. With 10,000 people a week. Keep growing. We're going to continue to share amazing messages. Thanks for being there. Thanks for supporting us. Thanks for liking. Please keep sharing. It's been awesome. But the other side, how this becomes a weekly wisdom is the first night I saw these posts going out and people started texting me, Dean, what are you doing?
---
Ultimately, he used the experience as a teaching moment, emphasizing the importance of controlling one's thoughts and focusing on positive outcomes, even in challenging situations 2.
