Control and Isolation

Control in relationships often leads to feelings of isolation, where the victim feels increasingly confined and blames themselves for their partner's anger. The abuser's accusations, such as infidelity, may reflect their own insecurities, creating a toxic cycle that diminishes the victim's self-worth. Over time, the victim's world shrinks, as they withdraw from friends and family to avoid conflict and embarrassment.
