• Quantum Multiverse

Eliezer Yudkowsky discussed the concept of the quantum multiverse in an interview with Dwarkesh Patel. Yudkowsky contemplates the philosophical comfort derived from the quantum multiverse theory. He explained that understanding the immensity of reality, where an infinite spatial universe implies a multitude of possible worlds (much like the quantum multiverse does), can be somewhat comforting. Specifically, he mentioned that somewhere in these vast or numerous realities, there could be versions where humanity survives or thrives differently, offering a kind of existential solace by contemplating that 'somewhere out there,' things could be vastly different—or better—for human-like beings 1.
