They opted to just apply primer and paint over these imperfections without proper preparation. This left the wall with blemishes and a textured appearance that was not initially intended. They later learned about a product called drywall mud, which is used to even out walls after removing wallpaper—a step they missed, which could have alleviated some issues 1 .
