Black Hole Formation

Understanding black hole formation requires a shift in perspective regarding metrics. Initially, as massive stars collapse, the Schwarzschild metric does not apply since the event horizon hasn't yet formed. Only after the collapse does the Schwarzschild metric become relevant, marking a significant transition in the behavior of matter surrounding a black hole.
