Nuclear Enrichment Explained

Uranium 238 alone isn't sufficient for creating a nuclear bomb; instead, the highly radioactive U 235 is essential, requiring enrichment to about 90% concentration. The process of achieving a chain reaction involves tightly clustering enriched uranium, as spreading it out diminishes the likelihood of triggering further reactions. While nuclear power plants use low-enriched uranium, they cannot explode like atomic bombs due to their insufficient concentration and containment.
