Memory Distortion Insights

A significant number of individuals experience major distortions in their memories over time, even for notable events. After 32 months, about a third of participants reported inaccuracies while expressing high confidence in their recollections. Surprisingly, many could not even recall having participated in the original survey, highlighting the complexities of memory retention and distortion.
