Sperm quickly navigates to the egg, where it releases enzymes to penetrate layers and fuse DNA, creating a unique zygote. This single cell rapidly divides, forming a morula, before developing into a blastocyst with distinct structures. The blastocyst then travels to the uterus, preparing to attach and grow.
