Researchers explore how cats form attachment bonds with their owners, comparing their behaviors to those of dogs and human infants. Through a standardized procedure, they identify three attachment styles: secure, insecure ambivalent, and insecure avoidant. Surprisingly, cats display attachment behaviors similar to those seen in dogs, challenging the notion of their aloofness.
