Orchestrating Microservices

The transition from monolith to microservices at Amazon revealed the limitations of event-driven architectures. While queues provide excellent runtime characteristics, they can lead to brittle systems with complex interdependencies. Recognizing these challenges, the team began exploring more scalable orchestration solutions to streamline processes and improve system resilience.
