Trust vs. Truth

Trustworthiness and truthfulness are often confused, leading us to misjudge the credibility of communicators. Admitting weaknesses can enhance a messenger's perceived trustworthiness, even when they may not be truthful. While understanding these traits can offer some defense against misinformation, the overwhelming nature of information makes it challenging to always recognize them.
