Al Qaeda's Evolving Strategy

Al Qaeda continues to exploit ungoverned regions and local grievances to recruit and mobilize fighters, shifting focus from Iraq to areas like Yemen and the Horn of North Africa. Their primary objective remains to strike against the U.S. and its allies, aiming to destabilize corrupt governments in the Middle East. Currently, Pakistan stands as a strategic target, as control over the country would provide Al Qaeda with state resources and a military arsenal, including nuclear capabilities.
