    Open BCI Origins

    recounts how his personal experiences with concussions and witnessing loved ones suffer from neurological issues led him to explore the brain-mind connection. He was inspired by an open-source tutorial on building a low-cost EEG system, which eventually led to the founding of Open BCI in 2013 2.

    In that moment, I felt as though I had the possibility to help myself and the people I loved. And I also realized that I couldn't do it alone. I needed help.
