Barking Pig Syndrome

A new disease affecting pigs in Peninsular Malaysia exhibits alarming neurological symptoms, including agitation, seizures, and respiratory issues, leading to its nickname, barking pig syndrome. Despite some cases of sudden death, the infection rates initially did not raise immediate alarms. However, the situation escalated when humans began to fall ill, indicating a potential zoonotic threat.
