A newly open-sourced dataset of 491 head CT scans aims to address the lack of common benchmarks in medical imaging. While the dataset is limited in size, it serves as a valuable tool for validating algorithms rather than training them. With around 300 scans showing abnormalities, it provides a foundation for researchers to measure their models' performance against established ground truths from radiologists.
