In creating her TV series "I Love That For You," Vanessa drew inspiration from her personal history and love for home shopping networks. She collaborated with Jeremy Beiler, a fellow writer, to develop the show, which intertwines her childhood fascination with QVC and her real-life battle with cancer. "We were like, what's kind of the hook into this?" Vanessa recalls.

It would be really interesting to kind of combine those two things.
