Is it too late for me to increase my ability to walk for longer periods and gain some health back as a 75-year-old woman with type 2 diabetes, low ejection fraction, osteoporosis, a bad knee and hip, who had a stroke in 2018 and is severely overweight at 200 pounds (5'2")? I've eliminated sugar and nearly all processed foods from my diet, eating only fruits, vegetables, unprocessed meats, and wild-caught fish. I still work full time from home and want to be healthier and more active. I appreciate your opinion.
I have been intermittent fasting for the last two years to control my A1C, which has been very hard to keep within the normal range. I wear a Freestyle Libre periodically, which helps me monitor what I eat. My problem is keeping a healthy weight while keeping my A1C low. Fasting and eating a low-carb diet cause weight loss, so am I missing key vitamins in my diet that would help my thyroid and liver function better?
