I don’t think I can get past the mental block of decreasing my workout volume (only doing 15-30 minutes of walking and 15 minutes of strength training) then moving so little throughout the rest of the day while still eating the same amount of food. I don’t want to feel unfit anymore, but I feel like I’m barely getting anything done at the gym while I’m there. What should I do?
I have been trying to do two full-body workouts a week, specifically the ones recommended on Mine Pump, but I'm having a hard time committing to one hour per night. I work 9½-hour days and I'm away from home for about 12 hours. Honestly, I have no more than 30 minutes to work out during the week. On the weekends, I could fit in one hour of routine. I have been working out for 14 years.
I have had a hard time being consistent for the past three years after going through menopause. I will be going strong and seeing results, but then after a month of putting in the work, my body changes again on me. I used to weigh 126 pounds, and now I’m up to 138 pounds, and I just can’t get the weight off.
