How does intermittent fasting affect autoimmune conditions?
I just listened to your podcast on the Shawn Ryan show. It was very informative. I am a 54-year-old mother of five, a registered nurse for 30 years, weigh 120 pounds, and am 5'5" tall. I had Graves' disease when I was 18 but refused the radioactive iodine and ended up with Hashimoto's at 25. After having five kids, my thyroid stopped producing hormones, and the last two pregnancies caused gestational diabetes. During Covid, I refused the vaccine with multiple coworkers and did not get Covid, even though I worked with multiple patients and had risk factors. God is good. I'm interested in how intermittent fasting might help my A1C levels.
For several years, I have been taking Vitamin D3/K2, magnesium, cinnamon tablets, apple cider vinegar tabs, Berberine, B12, and occasionally a multivitamin. Should I take the Berberine more often with every meal and exercise after every meal? Your suggestions would be appreciated. I lift weights almost every night to help lower free-floating sugar in my bloodstream, and it has dropped my A1C from 6. The fasting has improved my health.
