    We were the first delivery drivers I've done alongside RoF, almost 8000 deliveries ourselves. We were the first warehouse employees. We were the first customer service representatives. So we had to build a business the hard way and the scrappy way.

    Their initial target was college students, but the company has since expanded to over 1000 cities, with a growing demographic of customers aged 30 to 35 2.

       

    Profitable Beginnings

    Gopuff's early success was marked by its ability to achieve profitability without external investment. Yakir Gola explains that the company was cash flow positive from day one, reinvesting profits from established markets into new ones 3. This approach attracted attention from top venture capital firms, although Gopuff initially avoided announcing its fundraises publicly.

    We built a business that is profitable from day one. We were cash flow positive for the first three years, and that was operating in six cities.
