I'm finishing a bulk/reverse diet, stabilized at 3300 calories, with a macro breakdown of 255g protein, 285g carbs, and 105g fat. I'm 242 lbs and 23% body fat. I'm about to reduce calories and go into a cut. I'm considering dropping to 3000 calories and then 2700 calories for about 6 weeks. What recommendations do you have? Should I restructure how I'm reducing calories? I will maintain my protein at 235g (my maintenance). My reductions will be 2/3rds carbs and 1/3rd fat. Give me some advice.
What can I do to achieve my weight loss goals if I am currently running MAPS Anabolic, hitting 8,000-10,000 steps per day, and "inconsistently" tracking my calories and macros, averaging about 2,400 calories per day? My daily step goal used to average around 17,000-20,000, and I maintained a weight of around 205-210 lbs while teaching a high volume of classes. Now, I am struggling to drop below 246 lbs and 30+% body fat. I feel like I’m doing everything right in terms of exercise but am having difficulty getting the fat off my body without tracking for the rest of my life or following a fad diet.
I also deal with a lot of life stressors, which I know could be impacting fat loss. I’m getting 10k steps daily and just started Maps Old Time, but I’m wondering if I’d be better off switching to a full-body program like Anabolic or Strong to send a stronger muscle signal while cutting.
