Training Balance
Sal emphasizes the importance of incorporating programs like Maps Performance and Suspension to counterbalance the intense strength gains from Maps Anabolic. Adam shares a cautionary tale about the risks of focusing solely on building strength without addressing stability, likening it to driving a fast car without the ability to take turns. Both highlight the need for a well-rounded approach to fitness to prevent injuries and ensure long-term success. In this clip

I'm halfway through MAPS Anabolic after 4 months off due to an L4-L5 bulging disc from work. Before that, I was still doing MAPS Anabolic style training, mostly in the sagittal plane. Yesterday, I was on the sand with my dog, and she twisted me a little, causing my lower back to feel a little twingy today. I think I need to add some rotational movements, as I'm quite strong in the sagittal plane. I really want to finish MAPS Anabolic because I'm committed, but I need to look after my back, and functionality is so important. My primary focus is fat loss. Would you recommend just adding some rotational movements into Anabolic or switching to another MAPS program?

This year, I ran MAPS Anabolic, followed by Suspension, Performance, and I am now on a 2nd run of MAPS Anabolic. I've been very consistent and never miss a day. Should I dial it down a bit and run MAPS 15 Minutes or continue to work hard and run MAPS Aesthetics to continue to build muscle? I am at 19.6% body fat and am experiencing mild injuries/pain.
