I'm doing keto and also fasting in the morning, but not for a fixed amount of time. I work out first thing in the morning at 6 AM for 2 to 3 hours—1 hour intense and the remainder slow skill practice and resistance training. I understand that when on carbs, it takes the muscles approximately 8 hours to load up on glucose. Is eating a carb-rich meal in the evening ideal for maximum available energy?
In my case of doing keto, does this matter at all, given that blood sugar levels are stable due to the lack of carbs?
