Growth Challenges
Xiao Wang, co-founder and CEO of Boundless, shares the exhilarating yet challenging journey of his startup's rapid growth. Initially, the company was in its nascent stages, with a small team closely monitoring customer interactions and fixing issues in real-time. This hands-on approach led to significant growth, with Boundless expanding five to six times within a year.
We have dramatically increased our number of customers to the point where we are now five to six times larger than we were in the span of a year.
---
However, this surge in customers, driven by referrals from satisfied clients, also exposed the company's limitations in handling sudden spikes in demand 1.

Simplifying Immigration
Xiao Wang's personal immigration experience inspired him to create Boundless, aiming to simplify the complex immigration process. The platform functions like TurboTax for immigration, allowing users to fill out applications online, which are then reviewed by independent lawyers. This innovative approach addresses the industry's stagnant practices and high legal fees, providing a more accessible solution for immigrants.
In the 30 years since I went through this journey, the only thing that's changed in this industry are that legal fees have gone up and there are ten times as many immigration lawyers in this country.
---
Boundless's first product focuses on marriage green cards, streamlining the process for users and offering a trusted partner throughout their immigration journey 2.

Vision Forward
Xiao Wang envisions Boundless as more than just a service provider; he aims to build the world's largest data set of immigrants. Despite the current pricing model not covering costs, the focus is on customer acquisition and satisfaction to foster long-term loyalty. This strategy is designed to pave the way for future products and services, ensuring customers return for subsequent immigration needs.
I'm trying to build the world's largest data set of immigrants that no one else has.
---
Wang's vision includes leveraging data to enhance services and expand offerings, although the path to achieving this ambitious goal remains a work in progress 3.
