Motivation Spectrum

Motivation exists on a spectrum, ranging from extrinsic rewards to intrinsic enjoyment. Engaging in challenges can foster a sense of community and support, which are crucial for sustaining long-term behavior change. However, many short-term challenges lack the necessary training and offboarding, leading to a loss of motivation and community support once the challenge ends. This can result in feelings of despair and, in the realm of running, potential injuries from pushing too hard without proper guidance.
