Confidence often leads us to infer competence, but this connection isn't always accurate. Trustworthiness can be enhanced by acknowledging weaknesses, which can paradoxically increase perceived truthfulness. Despite understanding these traits, the overwhelming nature of information makes it challenging to consistently apply this knowledge in real-life situations.
