Origins and Motivation
Alison had always wanted to write a book, but it was her experience writing the foreword for Scott Douglas' book that made her realize she could do it. The birth of her son and the murder of Ahmaud Arbery further fueled her motivation to write a book that addresses the racial divide in running. She wanted to create a world where her son could move freely and not face the same injustices. With the support of her agent and editor, Alison embarked on this journey to bring about change.In this clip
