Spencer and Jeff Jan faced significant leadership challenges as they transitioned from entrepreneurs to managers. Recruitment

Recruiting and hiring were pivotal in addressing Spencer and Jeff's leadership shortcomings. They initially resisted hiring but soon recognized the necessity of building a competent team to scale the company. Spencer recalls their humble beginnings, "We started putting out job postings, and one of the first girls we interviewed, we told her to meet us at the Starbucks, and we didn't even order anything" 2.
