Plyometrics for Runners
Dr. Matt Casturo explains the best ways for runners to incorporate plyometrics into their training schedule. He recommends doing plyometrics when you're fresh and separating them from your runs by at least 3 hours. However, adherence is key, so if you can only do plyometrics right before your workout, that's still beneficial. Plyometrics are not very fatiguing and have minimal interference with run performance. A brief warm-up, including a 5-minute walk, is recommended before starting plyometric exercises. In this clip
