  • New York Experience

Jobe Watson's move to New York during his suspension marked a significant lifestyle change. He embraced the opportunity to explore new experiences and learn new skills, starting with a simple list he wrote after his suspension. This list included trying new things, which led him to work in a cafe, learning to make coffee and engaging with locals. Jobe found joy in the simplicity of his new routine, appreciating the freedom and the chance to connect with people without preconceived notions.

I just said, look, you're here now, you might as well just start saying yes to things. And that's sort of what I did and it's changed for me.

This experience allowed him to gain a fresh perspective on life, far removed from the pressures of his previous career 1 2.

    Business Ventures

Jobe's time in New York also sparked a series of business ventures, including the establishment of cafes and a fitness business. He opened two "hole in the wall" coffee shops, showcasing Australian coffee culture in New York, and launched a restaurant called Sugar Mama. These ventures reflect his desire to share Australian culture and adapt to new challenges.

It's really nice to be able to, I guess, display some of Australian culture to the rest of the world.

Additionally, Jobe is involved in the fitness industry with plans to open an F45 Training studio, highlighting his commitment to exploring new opportunities beyond football 3 4.
